Equine Influenza

In normal circumstances there are no checks required connected with vaccinations when anyone attends an ODRC event. As the situation with the Equine Influenza virus is still ongoing the club has made the decision to follow the guidelines issued by BRC, subsequently we will require any horse or pony attending any ODRC events to be vaccinated against Equine Influenza and the for the vaccination record be in accordance to the criteria contained within the Information Download below

These are temporary measures until such time the situation with the Equine Influenza has passed.

Our next events do not take place until March 23rd, this being the Showing Jumping Clinic followed very swiftly by the Winter Dressage Show 24th March. If the situation has not changed you will be required to bring your horse’s passport/vaccination record in order that your vaccination record be checked.

Further Information
The download below provides you with further information, please download it and have a read through. In addition to the information provided within the document, there are links that you can follow that allow you to download either an Excel Spreadsheet that allows you to check the validity of your horse’s vaccination record or even better, there are APPs available for Android or Apple devices that do the same.

Record Keeping
Once we have checked and logged your vaccination details you will not be asked again for your passport/vaccination record unless the vaccination has expired. We will keep a record until such time it is no longer required.

Some venues i.e. Somerford, require a booster within 6 months, (ODRC events do not) so be aware that you might need to have a booster before Camp. Cathy Heaven will keep you posted, contact Cathy for anything Camp related.
