Shows/Events Update
Having fully reviewed the guidance provided by British Riding Clubs on running
competitions/events in line COVID-19 safety measures, the ODRC committee have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our planned summer points shows for 2020.
Whilst we are sorry this is disappointing news, we will be carrying on with some members only training and have a show jumping clinic with Esther Mills planned for Sunday 12th July at Higher Counthill Farm and a cross country clinic also with Esther on Saturday 8th August at Smallwood Equestrian Centre. Online booking will be open soon.
We are also hoping to run some stand- alone events starting with dressage and hope to
have some virtual showing competitions that will enable qualification for STARS should that run. Once again, these will be for members only. We will let you know as soon as the details have been fully worked up in line with the guidance and rules that the BRC and Government have given.

ODRC Next Events

Dressage Show 5th July 2020
We will be running a members only dressage show on the 5th July. The event will be held at Higher Counthill Farm. For full details and to book please visit

Flatwork and Show Jumping Training
In addition to the dressage show ODRC will be holding numerous training clinics over the next few months. The club will be holding jumping and flatwork clinics . For further information about the clinics and to book your place, visit our events booking area via follow the Training sub menu.

Equine Influenza

In normal circumstances there are no checks required connected with vaccinations when anyone attends an ODRC event. As the situation with the Equine Influenza virus is still ongoing the club has made the decision to follow the guidelines issued by BRC, subsequently we will require any horse or pony attending any ODRC events to be vaccinated against Equine Influenza and the for the vaccination record be in accordance to the criteria contained within the Information Download below

These are temporary measures until such time the situation with the Equine Influenza has passed.

If the situation has not changed you will be required to bring your horse’s passport/vaccination record in order that your vaccination record be checked. Notification will be sent to members via email and for all via this website and the ODRC Group FB Page if the rules change.

Further Information
The download below provides you with further information, please download it and have a read through. In addition to the information provided within the document, there are links that you can follow that allow you to download either an Excel Spreadsheet that allows you to check the validity of your horse’s vaccination record or even better, there are APPs available for Android or Apple devices that do the same.

Some venues i.e. Somerford, require a booster within 6 months, (ODRC events do not) so be aware that you might need to have a booster before Camp.
