This privacy policy applies between you, the User of this Website, Members and Non-Members and Oldham and District Riding Club.

Oldham and District Riding Club takes the privacy of your information very seriously. This privacy policy applies to our use of any and all Data collected by us or provided by you in relation to your use of the Website and any other medium.

Our use of Data
In each case, in accordance with this privacy policy. For purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Oldham and District Riding Club is the “data controller”. We will retain any Data you submit for 12 months. Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to any third party disclosures specifically set out in this policy, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties.

All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

O&DRC collect data through Contract and Consent Basis, we do this:

1. Through Membership sign up via our membership web page or via forms received through the post or by hand.
2. Though our events website, data is collected when you enter shows, buy club merchandise, book social events and book training events.
3. When you register with us through our events website.
4. When you voluntarily complete online members surveys .

What is Consent Basis?
You will always be asked for your consent with regards to the use of your data. i.e. we ask for your consent for using your email address to send a club information when you become a member.

What is Contract Basis?
An example of a Contract Basis use of data is when you make an online purchase, a data controller will use your data in order to deliver the goods.

What information do we collect about you online?
This information may include your full name, your home address, your email, your telephone number, your IP Address, emergency contact details, details about your horse, the date and time online and when you logged into the Events Account Control Panel.

What do we do with your data?
We use your email address to contact you about events, purchases you made and any other relevant club information. Non Members will only receive updates on products they have purchased through the events booking website. Members will receive additional emails in accordance with your membership agreement, this would have been via a consent basis during sign up.

Do you share my data with anyone else?
If you are a member, we send your membership data to British Riding Clubs (BHS) in order to allow them to send you your BRC membership pack, they will hold your data during the course of your membership.

We do not share your information with anyone else unless we have your approval.
This approval will be requested for example during a booking for a farm ride. In this instance we may need to pass on your and your emergency contacts details to the event organiser or event facility.

Data security is of great importance to Oldham and District Riding Club and to protect your Data we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure Data collected via this Website.
If password access is required for certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We endeavour to do our best to protect your personal Data. However, transmission of information over the internet is not entirely secure and is done at your own risk. We cannot ensure the security of your Data transmitted to the Website.
